Puerto Rico Earthquakes & American Red Cross

Dear Yogis/Friends,
 
Thank you for asking about my family in Puerto Rico. My family is fine. We’ve been in touch on a daily basis. They have felt the stronger quakes but have not had any damage. They are in San Juan. Many people, particularly in the southwestern part of the island have not been so fortunate. My family has asked us to pray for them as this situation is solely in God’s hands.
 
In the meantime, if you are seeking to help those affected, my family and I strongly suggest donating to the American Red Cross (click here to access the Mail-In Donation Form). Sadly, you cannot just give to any agency, church, etc., as there is a lot of corruption and greed on the island. I especially trust the American Red Cross too as they helped my family when Hurricane Maria hit the island two years ago. They not only located my family but provided necessary items and even lent charged cell phones in order to communicate with loved ones who were searching for them.
