Yoga Class Types

Online (virtual) yoga classes are also offered to help you stay fit physically and emotionally without stepping foot out of your house! All you need is one of the following devices: smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer. Check out the many, different class types below.
YOGA WITH WEIGHTS
Using 2-, 3-, or 5-pound weights with our wrists and/or on ankles, we stabilize the body helping to achieve a higher level of physical conditioning. Excellent for increasing bone density, body tone, and muscular strength.
CHAIR
Modified flow exercises for people who cannot stand for extended periods of time or lack the mobility to move from standing to floor positions. Total body chair workout, synchronizing breath with movement.
KIDS
A wonderful opportunity to introduce the benefits of fitness to children in a safe and enjoyable way. These classes improve self-esteem and confidence, provide a tool for coping with the pressures of school and emotional problems, and help to calm and relax the nerves.

BEGINNER'S GENTLE YOGA
Based on traditional yoga principles. An excellent yoga practice if you are new to yoga or simply want a gentler experience. Synchronizing breath with movement, increasing balance and stability, and calming the mind, body, and spirit.
PREVENTIVE BACK
Yoga designed to greatly reduce the frequency, severity, and duration of back pain episodes. These classes will help reduce inflammation, increase flexibility and circulation, strengthen weakness, and restore symmetry.
NECK, THYROID, AND SHOULDERS
The thyroid―a small butterfly-shaped gland, located behind the windpipe in the neck, influences the chemistry of your whole body. It produces hormones for growth, cell regeneration, repairs and maintains a healthy metabolism, and improves circulation. This yoga sequence is designed to stimulate the thyroid, neck, and shoulders, as well as the whole body.

RESTORATIVE
While doing very few poses this class focuses on slowing down. Various kinds of props are used to avoid strain or pain while holding particular poses for a longer period of time. Restorative Yoga helps to recover from injuries and illness. Predominantly used to help one recover from stress.
LOVE YOUR BRAIN
This class provides gentle yet active asanas (physical movements), breathing, and meditation to support healing from within. Perfect for anyone recovering from brain injury, stroke, and suffering from stress, headaches/migraines, depression, and anxiety.

With our partner we learn how to synchronize our breathing, assist each other with asanas (poses), and link our bodies together to create one pose.
